SETTING THE GOLD STANDARD

Being the top school in the district, St. Clare Centre for Girls is the school to beat in all competitions.  One such competition is cultural drama competition featuring the schools within the district.  Schools no longer just show up; now they work very hard to defeat St. Clare.  The girls are industrious, practicing under the watchful care of their teacher as they prepare for the competition. 

Contemporary issues like the elections, violence, and pregnancy outside of marriage, female genital mutilation, staying in school are performed in dramatic skits illustrating the students’ point of view.  Slowly drumming home their point is the Kenyan drum, an integral part of the performance.
