The most urgent need is the rescue of thousands of orphaned girls trapped on the streets of Kenya. Your help is needed to complete the St. Clare Centre to be a home for these girls. Construction continues as the funds are available, one room at a time. Your donation will save lives.
$15,000 Builds a dormitory housing 34 girls
$7,000 Provides an on-site health care professional for one year.
$5,000 Provides food for one month
$1,000 Bunk beds and bedding for 10 girls
$800 One computer with table and chair
$500 SPONSORSHIP: Supports and educates a child for one year.
$300 Math Supplies (rulers, geometry sets and graph books)

By On Line Bank Check:Log onto your bank account online. Click on “Payments” and then click on “Add Payee” to add FRIENDS OF KENYAN ORPHANS, 920 Berkshire Road, Grosse Pointe, MI 48230 (phone: 313-815-9900). Once the new payee is added you can designate the amount you wish to donate, the focus of the donation and the frequency. For example: If you wished to sponsor a child for $480 a year and make monthly donations click on “schedule repeated payments” and you can choose “monthly payments” of $40, then in the memo box just type in “sponsorship.” Your banking representative could assist you to do this also.

In Meru, Kenya, thousands of orphans and abandoned children live in unspeakable conditions on the streets, the victims of gross poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic. THE FRIENDS OF KENYAN ORPHANS is a nonprofit organization formed to assist The Children’s Village in improving the lives of these children.
The Children’s Village is the inspiration of Fr. Francis Limo Riwa who in 1999 began to rescue orphaned and abandoned street children. Today the Children’s Village is home, family and school to more than 750 children, living on two campuses: the St. Clare Girls’ Centre and St. Francis Boys’ Home.
