Members of class 6 are learning all about onions. Along with Sister Teena, several members from class 6 are helping with onion drying. When a shipment of onions arrives at St. Clare Sister and her helpers dries the onions for cooking. The onions are kept in the sun for 2-3 days and then returned to the cooks in the kitchen to use. Those that are not used right then are placed back in the sun for a few more days to continue the drying/preserving process so that they won’t be wasted.
