RETREAT COMES TO ST. CLARE

Retreat Comes to St. Clare

(Earlier we reported on the retreat many of the girls from St. Clare Centre for Girls attended at the Vincentian Retreat Center.  Recently, the Vincentian Retreat Center came to St. Clare.  The following, written by Agnes, explains this event.)

This summer, St. Clare Centre for Girls was honored to host the Vincentian Retreat Center.  Many of the girls from St. Clare had attended a retreat at the Center and had made a strong impression on the priests and staff so they came to St. Clare.  The Vincentians brought their sound system, their choir and their priests, including Fathers George, John, and Benedict.  In addition, other schools and a parish from a neighboring town also came to St. Clare for the retreat whose theme was Inner Healing. 

During the final night of the retreat, the lights were switched off and each participant held a candle as all renewed their faith.  It was a great experience for all, especially the girls from St. Clare had attended the earlier retreat.  One of the girls said, “Our school was blessed again.”
