ST. CLARE COMPETES
Cultural Competition Week involving St. Clare Centre for Girls and girls from other schools in the area occurred in mid June at a local school. The St. Clare girls had been practicing poetry reading, singing and dancing in preparation for this week for months.
It was warm and sunny when the primary St. Clare girls represented St. Clare Centre for Girls at the regional school competition in music, dance, poetry and choral singing. Joy, a student from Form 1, said, “Our girls performed well and managed to be the winners of the day.” Adding to this, Christine, another Form 1 student, noted, “I think our students were best at dancing." It was a day when all the St. Clare girls felt proud over the way the primary students represented the school.
