ST. CLARE'S "FACE LIFT"

Newly painted roofs

St. Clare sits right on the equator where the sun is closest to the earth. After 12 years of sun, rain and wind driven dust, the sheet metal roofs of St. Clare have taken a beating. This week they received a face-lift with a new coat of paint. It was amazing to watch the painters go up on the roof of a three-story building with just a bucket and brush and no safety harness and paint as if they were on flat ground.   They stand very close to the edge also.  All of the buildings have received a new coat of paint on their roofs.  This maintenance keeps the place looking good and thus gives the children a sense of pride and a willingness to take care of it.
