MADAM COUNSELOR

St. Clare’s administration expressed that one of its major needs was to have someone in place as a school counselor. As a result, the administration is so grateful to Madam Sue. One of her main responsibilities centers on her role as St. Clare’s school counselor. Many of the girls there have had some terrible life experiences growing up in the Nairobi slums or the Samburu desert area. They need someone with whom to talk about these experiences, to help them understand and then to move on. Each day Sue listens to and talks to the girls in small groups or individually.
