Some of the children at Our Lady of Grace

Our Lady of Grace Children’s Home, a sanctuary for girls near the town of Marimba in Kenya, provides food, clothing, shelter and education for young girls from ages 2-13.  In 2006 the construction of Our Lady of Grace Children’s Home was begun in Marimba thanks to Rita Balachandran, a woman with extraordinary vision, commitment and a tireless work ethic. The home opened in 2007 with 7 girls and has grown to over 200 in 2016. The girls, ages ranging from 2-13 years, are in very vulnerable situations.  As a result, Our Lady of Grace has expanded to accommodate the growing number of orphans they are handling.

The bathroom renovation at Our Lady of Grace

Because Rita provides the funding, FOKO has partnered with her to renovate the bathrooms to handle the expanding numbers.  FOKO made the decision to support Our Lady of Grace Children’s Home because of its commitment to care for orphaned and abandoned children.
