Raising Awareness

Recently some of the form four (seniors) girls went to Isiolo, (a nearby city) with some teachers to visit and assist children who are HIV/AIDS positive. These children are orphaned because their parents have died from AIDS. Some of St. Clare’s teachers donated funds for mattresses and St. Clare donated food and medical supplies. Father Riwa wanted the girls to be aware of the plight of these children as well as giving them the opportunity to serve others.

Upon returning home, the girls requested that St. Clare cut back on the portions that are served so that at the end of the month, there is something to share with these children. The St. Clare girls plan to return each week to assist these HIV positive children.
