DEDICATION OF SHALOM HOUSE

Shalom House, a home for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children in and near Mitunguu, was recently dedicated.

One of the 400 children who will live at Shalom home

Father Francis Gaciata, is the pastor who developed this project. When hundreds of children have been living in a slum near the parish, Father could not turn his eye away from the neglect the children were experiencing.  So he decided to help. Friends of Kenyan Orphans partnered with an Italian organization, Melamango, and the Diocese of Meru in this project to erect the building. Shalom House will be a school and home for 400 children.
