St. Clare Girls Take the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) National Exams

This year, 18 girls from St. Clare sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) national examination. The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is one of the two main national examinations, which is taken by thousands of Kenyan students after four years of the Secondary school course (our High School equivalent).

This examination is a major factor in regards to the individual’s future career, as it determines which post-secondary educational opportunities are open to the student. In many ways it defines the life of a person after school in Kenya.

The girls posted an excellent performance and we are excited to report that St. Clare was ranked position 2 at the sub-county level and position 18 at the county level!

There was also an increase of girls qualifying for the government sponsored programs at the universities.

St. Clare is targeting to be among the top 10 at the county ranking in the next KCSE examination that will be done in March 2022. We are grateful to all of our donors who make it possible for the girls to have the resources necessary for success.
