THE GIRLS WITH THEIR NEW SHOES

There is nothing quite like new shoes! Recent donations for Friends of Kenyan Orphans have made it possible to purchase “gum shoes” aka sneakers, tennis shoes for the girls who have none. The girls can wear these shoes to class and also when they play sports. In the past, when the girls competed against other schools, they played in their bare feet or in flip flops. Now they can stand as equals because of the generosity of our donors.

The girls in the light blue tunics, which are made at St. Clare, are in primary school while those in navy blue are secondary students. The woman in green is a teacher and former St. Clare student.
