During the summer holiday, St. Clare girls experienced some schedule changes. In addition, they were active in St. Clare's shamba (garden).
St. Clare Centre for Girls has a wonderful shamba. (Shamba is the Swahili word for "garden.") The girls work in the shamba and learn many things.
Another food source at St. Clare is moringa which is being harvested.
Finishing 5th, the combined choirs of the Children's Village (St. Francis and St. Clare Centre) did well after participating for the first time.
The new life skills center is completed and was dedicated August. 15.
The choir from St. Francis-St. Clare is moving on to the National Competition in Nairobi. This is a great opportunity for these children.
Father Riwa works to help orphaned and vulnerable children (OVA), victims of HIV/AIDS receive a better life. He has created Home for Hope for this purpose.
The girls at St. Clare Centre for Girls consider themselves fortunate to be working with Madam Sue as a counselor. They appreciate all she is doing for them.
FOKO has responded to Father Francis Gaciata's request for assistance in Kenya. FOKO is helping him add a dormitory so he can rescue another 100 orphaned children.
Music is so important in the lives of the girls at St. Clare Centre for Girls. Two students offer some information about music at St. Clare.
